What is mobile EV charging?

Mobile EV charging brings the charger to your car. A ChargePatrol technician arrives with a battery-powered Level 3 DC fast charging unit and charges your electric vehicle where it is parked or stopped.

Can you help if my EV battery is at 0%?

Yes. Call dispatch with your exact location, vehicle and what the dashboard shows. We dispatch mobile charging, a 12V jump-start or EV-safe towing depending on the situation.

How fast can you get to me?

Our average arrival time is under 45 minutes. Dispatch gives you an arrival estimate for your specific location before sending help; traffic and weather can affect timing.

How much does mobile EV charging cost?

One-time emergency mobile charging starts at $165. EV jump-starts start at $140 and the jump-start plus charging combination is $185 when booked online. Dispatch confirms the final price before service.

How much range will I get?

A typical visit adds approximately 25–50 miles, enough to reach a fast charger or get home. Results depend on your vehicle, temperature and time on site.

Which EVs do you support?

We support most battery-electric vehicles, including Tesla (NACS) and CCS1 models from Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Rivian, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and more. Share your year, make and model so dispatch can confirm the connector.

Are you available at night and on weekends?

Yes. Dispatch is available 24/7/365, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Can you charge in a parking garage?

Often, yes. Share the garage address, level, height clearance and any access instructions so dispatch can confirm the unit can reach your vehicle.

Do you offer fleet charging?

Yes. ChargePatrol provides scheduled and on-demand mobile charging for commercial fleets, with deployment live in 7 days. Request a fleet quote for custom pricing.

What if charging will not solve the problem?

Dispatch can arrange EV-safe flatbed towing to a charger, your home, a dealer or a repair shop.

How do I pay?

You can book online and pay through Square’s secure hosted checkout, or call dispatch. We never ask for card details in our website forms.

Is a submitted request a confirmed dispatch?

No. Dispatch confirms availability, price and an arrival estimate with you before a unit is sent. For urgent help, always call.

What should I do first when my EV runs out of charge?

Move to a safe spot if the car still creeps, turn on hazard lights, stay in a safe position away from traffic, then call dispatch with your location. If you are in an unsafe spot on a live lane, call 911 first.

How long does an emergency charge take?

Most emergency sessions take roughly 20–45 minutes on site, depending on your vehicle’s charging curve, battery temperature and how much range you need.

Is emergency charging more expensive at night?

One-time emergency service starts at $165. Dispatch confirms the full price for your request before sending help, so there are no surprises.

What is the difference between Level 2 and Level 3 mobile charging?

Level 2 is AC charging that typically adds about 10–30 miles per hour. Level 3 DC fast charging bypasses the car’s onboard charger and can add range many times faster, which is why it is the right tool for roadside situations.

Can every EV use DC fast charging?

Most modern battery-electric vehicles can. Some older models and plug-in hybrids cannot. Tell dispatch your year, make and model and we will confirm before sending a unit.

Do you have Tesla (NACS) connectors?

Yes. Tesla and NACS vehicles are supported; dispatch confirms the connector for your specific vehicle.

Does my insurance roadside plan cover EVs?

Many plans only offer a tow. ChargePatrol can be paid directly, and dispatch can provide service details if you want to seek reimbursement from your provider.

What if mobile charging will not fix the issue?

Dispatch can arrange EV-safe flatbed towing to a charger, home, dealer or repair shop.

Can an EV be towed with two wheels on the ground?

Generally no. Most manufacturers require a flatbed or wheel dollies. Always follow your owner’s manual; our operators use flatbeds for EVs.

How do I put my EV in tow mode?

Most EVs have a tow or transport mode in the settings menu. If the car has no 12V power, the operator can help with a 12V boost first.

Can I jump-start an EV with another car?

Some manufacturers allow it and others warn against using an EV to jump another car. A portable jump pack connected to the correct terminals is the safest approach.

Will a jump-start charge the main battery?

No. A 12V boost wakes the car up. If the main battery is also low, choose the jump-start and charging combination.

Does Tesla roadside assistance offer mobile charging?

Tesla roadside policies change over time and often involve towing to the nearest charger. ChargePatrol is an independent service that charges your Tesla where it sits.

Can you charge a Cybertruck?

Yes, subject to connector confirmation at dispatch.

Do I need to be with the car?

Not always. Dispatch will confirm access requirements and whether someone needs to be present.

Can I set up a recurring schedule?

Contact dispatch or request a fleet quote for recurring or multi-vehicle service.
